Director - Grants Compliance & Organizational Capacity Strengthening, Catholic Relief Services
Eugene Quayson has worked with Catholic Relief Services for over 18 years in West and East Africa - most recently as the Director for Grants Compliance and Organizational Capacity Strengthening, for the USAID funded SOCY (Sustainable Outcomes for Children and Youth in Central and Western Uganda) program in Uganda. He leads the program’s effort in the financial and organizational capacity assessments of local partners and develops specific corrective actions and capacity-strengthening plans in close collaboration with the partners to bring them closer to prime readiness. He also oversees financial and compliance matters within the SOCY program.
Eugene is a qualified Chartered Accountant with over 30 years of post-qualification experience. He also holds a Master’s degree in finance from the University of Manchester. Prior to joining CRS, Eugene worked for ten years at Venture Fund Management Company, a subsidiary of the Commonwealth Development Corporation (CDC), and Ghana’s first venture capital company as a Senior Investment Executive. Before that, he worked with KPMG as an Audit Manager, and Deloitte and Touché as a trainee accountant.
