Cooperatives and Market Linkages Programme Manager, Nuru International
In her role, Fatuma Nyanjong leads the Cooperatives and Market Linkages Programme supporting 14 farmer cooperatives. She is also in charge of gender mainstreaming at Nuru Kenya. Before joining Nuru Kenya in 2016, Fatuma worked with Kenya National Farmers Federation (KENAFF) in various capacities and in different regions in Kenya. She coordinated EFED, World Bank and USAID projects at KENAFF. Fatuma is experienced working with smallholder farmers organized in specific agriculture product value chains. She also has wide experience in value chain concept, cooperative enterprise management and organizing smallholder farmers into sustainable organizations.
Fatuma holds a BSc in Agribusiness Management from the Great Lakes University of Kisumu, a Diploma in Business Management from Kenya Institute of Management and is currently pursuing Master’s degree in Entrepreneurship at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology.
